The AirPods Pro 3 Heart Rate feature is expected to expand the role of wireless earbuds beyond audio by introducing real-time wellness tracking during workouts and everyday activities. If included in the final product, it could use built-in optical sensors to estimate heart rate without requiring a smartwatch, offering added convenience for users who prefer a lightweight setup.
