Tiguan rides like a pogo stick after hitting that dip on Al Wasl, anyone know a good VW suspension shop?
So I was driving home the other night and took that dip near City Walk a bit faster than I should have because it was dark and I didn't see it coming, and ever since then my 2019 Tiguan has been bouncing like crazy over every little imperfection on the road, it's like the front passenger side just gave up on absorbing anything and now I feel every ripple in the tarmac through the steering wheel. I'm pretty sure the shock absorber is blown because I can push down on that corner and the car just keeps bouncing for a few seconds instead of settling like it should, and I'm trying to figure out if I should just get the one replaced or if I need to do both fronts at the same time to keep the handling balanced. I was looking around online for a shop that actually knows Volkswagens and does a proper Volkswagen shock absorber repair service without just throwing the cheapest parts on and calling it a day, and I saw Royal Prince Auto Care has a whole page on it which seems promising. Anyone else had to replace shocks on their Tiguan or Golf in Dubai and can tell me if the OEM Sachs units are worth the extra money over the aftermarket options, I just want the car to feel planted again and not like I'm driving a bouncy castle down Sheikh Zayed Road.
